G'day all, we are looking to upgrade our caravan, and currently looking at a 2010 model. We are looking for feedback good or bad from past or present owners. Thanks in advance.

So many different brands out there these days. Never heard of Blue Sky but here is a web site for Blue Sky owners. Seem like a lot of happy campers.
ps. Welcome to the forum. I'll be interested to hear of your decision and experiences.

Hi Mick and Evie. And a warm welcome from us to The Grey Nomads as well - hope you enjoy the sometimes spirited debates and more importantly, the great info that so many people have here. Never hesitate to ask and ignore the knockers - 99% of the people here are happy folk glad to assist you and in turn, you can help us from time to time.
Havent heard of that brand of 'van - as Cupie says, many manufacturers churn out caravans with different names so youre never sure what the go is.
Best bet is to pay the $100-$200 to get a good caravan repairer to inspect the unit before you buy. It may well be a good brand, but you can never be sure of how it has been treated in the past 4-6 years by the previous owner(s). If youre buying it from a Dealer, don't believe anything they tell you if the claim to have carried out a full inspection. They will take wreaks as a trade-in on a new van and tart them up with glue or whatever

Hi guys and thanks for the very warm welcome. Thanks also for the link. The Blue sky we are looking at is being sold privately and like you, we hade never heard of them before.
We just got a half baked reply from the seller in response to some very specific question we asked so he either didn't read my message fully , is too lazy to answer properly or he is avoiding the question. Not sure which. Perhaps I am being too cynical ?.
At present, we have an Eco - Tourer and love it to bits, but its just doesn't have enough storage

Mick and Evie,
Blue Sky Caravans have been around since 2010 and I have not heard any negative feedback, but I really know very little about them.
As you are buying privately it concerns me that the seller is being evasive and I would urge you to read my post from Sat under "rebirthed caravans".
There is a procedure you should follow when buying privately.
Please don't be deterred by my comments as I don't want to sound alarmist and I am certainly not suggesting that the caravan you are looking at has a dubious past, but you still need to be careful.

Hi,
We looked at Blue Sky Vans ( new ones) at Brisbane caravan show 3 years ago & I was quite impressed. They were high on my list until Husband decided on another brand. The finish seems high standard but really don't know much about them ?
Good luck,
K J

Thanks again guys. The seller is still being evasive and we don't have a good feeling about him at all.
Think we'll walk away from this one.
Kind regards,
Mick and Evie.

A wise decision to walk away.
I frequently base my purchase decisions based on my perceptions of the seller.

Blue Sky are in Geelong. Check out bellarinecaravans.com.au. We looked at a 24 foot 2013 Blue Sky Tuscany for $49,900 in PERFECT condition but decided to check out the new vans at the Adelaide Caravan show last week. Sensational is all i can say. We ordered a 17.6 ft full off road Cobra for same dollars from them. There are a lot of expensive vans around but the dollars are hard to justify when you compare.

Hi Mick i have a Blue Sky Fairhaven 21ft 2011 We were the same never herd of them and as i was looking around for a caravan to buy i notice this one it looked good had every thing i was looking for in a caravan so we rang the owner private sale and we went and had a look was very interest. Now i knew nothing about caravans at this stage i was just going on this looks good looked well built. We did look at others on that same day i went and looked at a Crusader and we looked and it but you know when you get that feel for something i just wonted to go back to the Blue Sky. So we bought it and we have been on a couple of short trips so far would like to go a lot more but kids and work normal life but the only thing i have done to it is put 2x 130 solar panels on the roof. When we go away we have people stop and ask about it because they haven't herd of them. We was heading up to Mildura and we stopped in town for some thing to eat and this car pulled up and guy jumped out and come over to us and asked us about the caravan because he was thinking of buying one so he talked to use for 30 mins. Just finish where we live the couple next door to us they had a baby and they dident have a name for her and the wife looked out side and sore our van and sore Blue Sky so she name her child SKY. Just some to finish on.
Cheers
Chris
