Today I just had to get into an environment that would 're-charge' my batteries and blow those 'stuck in town' cobwebs away.
So I went up to the Dargo Pub, in the lower parts of the Victorian High Country and had a delicious country meal.
Then fired up the Landy and headed north following the Dargo River further up into the high country. So peaceful, so quiet - life was meant to be like this.
I enjoyed myself so much wandering around the tracks and poking the nose down to the river from time to time. I didn't point the Landy south and back toward my van until about 8pm and arrived home in the very dark.
Very relaxed, tired but rejuvenated - ya really cannot beat the Strayan bush for therapy.
Rocky, I have said it many times mate, it's hard out here in the playground and you did it hard yesterday and Radar Thursday and I tell you that for free.

Love it up that way - used to camp at Captains Flat - if it was hot, just sit in the creek - lovely - also I think it is Wittington? - love the area.

Just over 2 weeks ago, I was at Bright. Lovely place. We went up to Blue Rag, had lunch there and then went on to Dargo. Came back the same way, but detoured to Hotham on the way home. Superb country - all of it. Hardly a soul anywhere up there (it was a Tuesday). Dargo is such a peaceful place - we loved it. Not too keen on Hotham though - ugly developments everywhere.
Gday...
