Welcome also Newslug - you are sure to find some great info on this forum - heaps of solo men and women out on the road - go through the forum, you will find most are in your age bracket - and wanting to get on the road, or are on the road. One of our members turns 80 this year, he started travelling at 74 when his wife asked him to leave. So he did, and has never regretted it, even though they are great friends again.
