Hi , I have a hayman reese wdh with the heavy bars (800lbs) 30", but the ball weight of my van is 260kg. Should I change to the lighter bars.
Thanks Owen.

No. Guessing the van weight is around 3tonne, You are better off with the heavier bars & "load" them up to suit.

I agree. There's enough adjustment available to set the WDH up correctly.

I agree with Explorer and Kevin C.
You have the best option ie you ease off the pressure.
Many find they could use more heavier bars.

A lot depends upon the loaded weight of your van. If you reveal that you may get a better response. For starters what are the tare weight and ATM of your van?
HR guides indicate that the 800 lb kit is for ball weights over 275 kg ball weights. The stronger bars are going to apply more stress to your drawbar than the lighter ones. I would be more concerned about that.

Thanks Peter, I know what you mean, that's why I put the question forward. Perhaps I should take the whole rig to Hayman-reese and have them check it out.
