According to statistics if you can believe them, average aussie male will live to 80 and female to 82. By this reconning I have only 16 years to clear my bucket list! However given on my mothers side average age of males was 85 and on fathers was 86 with the past 3 generations, perhaps I might see 88 to 90. As long as I am still active and healthy I dont care.

I did one of these a while ago. Said I would live to 94 years.

What is important is not the YEARS in your LIFE but the LIFE in your YEARS.

Very important DD. I've done these before also, just out of curiosity. I'm coming up 75, sometimes I feel like 175 !! But my Mum died at 93, my Dad at 82, so I probably have a few more years before I fall off the perch !! If I can give a bit of general advice, as a Pilot I had a medical every 6 months to renew my License, but apart from that I decided back at age 40 that I would have a full check up every year. This includes X-Ray every second year, full blood count, ECG and whatever else I can squeeze out of my Doctor. My belief is that if something nasty is starting to materialize, it can be picked up early, therefore your chances of treatment, recovery and survival are greatly enhanced. I'm not going to bore you with my medical history, but at least 3 potential dangers have been picked up over the years which could possibly have made a big difference to my current health.

I'll live until my heart stops; I refuse to worry about it. Besides, that thing could say I'll live to 100, and tomorrow I could get hit by a bus (or, more likely, get bitten by a generally harmless bug, have a major allergic reaction, and drop dead of that).
