I trust you have a great day tomorrow as you celebrate what it means to you. This wonderful country and the chance to continue to explore and discover more and more each day.
its a privilege to be an Australian and be part of this wonderful nation.

Happy Australia Day Brian & everyone else. We've just arrived back home from our usual brisk one hour walk before breakfast. We had to dodge all the broken glass & technicolor yawns on the footpaths of our Melbourne beach-side suburb. Has anyone else noticed that over the last decade this weekend has become ANOTHER excuse to have a ''big piss up''?

We are spending the day with our granddaughters visiting my parents memorable, kids request, then to the movies. Had homemade hamburgers with the lot like you used to buy from the fish shops. Feel blessed that 15 year old & 12 year old still enjoy nan and pops company. Happy Aussie day. What a great country.

Staying home (Kenilworth showgrounds) with the animals. Maybe a (non-alcoholic for me) beer later. Possibly even a snag & salad for dinner.

Gday...
Goodun Doug. That made me remember the poster I made up for my daughter when she was in Cally-forn-ee-ay back in 2004 doing her final year in Uni.
She had been homesick, so I decided to make it worse.
That's the love of my life in the pic of the Bridge.
Cheers - John

We are about to take the tinny down to the river with a few friends on their boats. We have 150 water filled balloons and another boat has a water pump (powered by a car starter motor).
Sitting at Port Kurten, Billy Lights Boat Ramp RV area in Port Lincoln - this weekend is the Tunarama festival here, there was a community breakfast this morning - but hey, who gets up at 7am - not this little pygmy!!!!!
We have great neighbors, fantastic view, sunshine, blue sky - what more could you ask for??

We are having bbq lamb chops for lunch.
Much fun and frivolity coming up!
Looks like you got your flags from the same place coles did
Both the Southern Cross and the Jack are reversed on yours.

Exactree John.

I'm glad it's over for another 12 months. I'm over the jingoistic bullsh!t and Slim Dusty songs.
Who has ever seen anything so false as the local bogans driving around with 4 Australian flags on their Hyundai Excels?
