This may be a saving for those of you who have a home phone as well as a mobile.
My landline was costing me about $120per qtr and I never used it to make calls. Instead I used my mobile.
I didn't want to disconnect altogether so Son suggested I call Telstra and arrange to have the phone plan changed from the budget plan to a plan that charged the highest cost for calls.
This reduced the line rental to $40 a quarter and as I don't make calls the bill is now $40 per quarter.
I still use it for "free calls" and this is another saving as the mobile still charges for these.
Just thought it might help with phone charges.

I just got rid of Telstra and went with Optus... Talk about dumb and dumber I'd go back to writing letters but they mucked that up too.
