Road conditions - Moss Vale to Berry via Fitzroy fall

It is pretty steep in places and quite windey not so sure I would go down there I would go north to wilton then down picton road to wollongong and on to berry

Yes, by a competent driver. The road is sealed, windy, throw in very steep. I forgot how scenic it is.
If the need to use this road or would like to use this road, take your time on the steeper section selecting a gear that will hold the car and caravan at a steady pace using your brakes sparingly. Be patient, it will be a great experience and no hill will ever phase you in your travels.

I live in Nowra and travel this road frequently, both in 14 metre coaches and our caravan. Radar has basically hit the nail on the head. The only hint I would give is don't turn left at the top of Cambewarra mountain but do continue down the eastern side to Bomaderry and then go left to Berry along the Princes Highway. Take your time and enjoy the trip it is quite senic.

Yes the road Moss Vale to Berry via Fitzroy falls is a no go for vans (from Cambewarra Mountain to Berry.) Use the road to Bomaderry and up the Princes Highway to Berry. This second road is fine for competent drivers. Just remember to use as low a gear as possible and keep your speed down when descending hills, that way you will reach the bottom without your brakes smelling. On a few RH bends you are able to swing wide and stop to let faster traffic past.
On the uphill gradients, just because you are travelling slowly and travelling in 1st or 2nd gear it does not mean your tug is struggling. It just means you are climbing a hill. If your rig is not overloaded you will get over it OK

In the middle of January we traveled from Moss Vale to Kangaroo valley via Fitzroy Falls and found the road steep in places however as said before if you drive using your gearbox and to the prevailing conditions it is quite a drivers road.
We did it both ways towing our van of 2 ton with the BT50 without any problems.

Turned onto the road at Moss Vale, but after a few klm there was a sign that said on access to Kangeroo Valley. Assumed the bridge was blocked. Not sure if it was possible to get to Berry so turned back
