Does my opinion still count if I do not have a van?
Is this a negative post?
Am I still at 2%?

It all depends on a couple of things Phantom. (A) What colour are your eyes? Blue or Green. (B) Do you crawl to and pamper your wife? (C) Do you still read comics?

No, you don't have to leave The Forum. although it is intended for Nomads - see the Forum rules.
No, it is not a negative post - you are being positive and asking a good question
No, you are not in the 2% - a comment made in passing by another member which from memory was made about someone else - not you. That's unless you want to be in this so called "2%" ???
Do you intend to get another RV in the future and perhaps meet with some of us and chat and laugh. Despite what you may think, many of us are relaxed and friendly people. Long before you and I joined this Forum, past and present members would fight and name call on this Forum, then at some stage meet face to face finally and become great mates

Phantom - you can still be a nomad - of course - lots of our members have finished travelling for one reason or another, or sold their vans and don't know whether to get another or not.
I have found the forum to always be a friendly place, to me, anyway. Have been a member for over five years now, and know heaps of other members. The rules, apart from the - no abusing other members, no politics and no religion (which are sensible) - are really only guidelines - to make the forum a more interesting place.
I personally would not want you to leave, I love getting up, on site - and see one of your classic one liners - my thought is always - Yes, The Phantom strikes again!!!

Crikey, I hope not Phantom. I'm in same boat - sold my 6 x 4 camper within weeks of getting back to mainland in Dec. as Tassie, with it's "Roaring Forties" seemed no place for a camper trailer (basically just a tent on a small trailer). When I get moved across (hopefully by end of Jan.) I won't be staying put. I've already booked a cabin for 19th/20th Feb. at Smithton C.P. for the Country Music Festival. Will make do with cabins until I can buy smallest possible caravan (not a teardrop though, not athletic enough for one of them) and continue to explore Tas. Won't stop tuning in to this site though as I'm sure nomads can stay in hotels, motels, or cabins too. They are still getting around and seeing stuff. Cheers ... Val

I think there's quite a few who are not full or part time nomads.

You don't have to have a caravan or motor home. Try doing a bit of this instead. As long as you're grey, you'll still qualify as a grey nomad. It's all good.

I sold my van too but kept it quiet.
When we get a new one we'll come by and pick the Phantoms up from the Skull Cave.
No farting though.

I think the main thing is interest in the Grey Nomad lifestyle Phantom, with or without an RV of any type, even the rules say this also includes soon to be Grey Nomads, so basically anyone contemplating hitting the road at some stage, or been there, done that and can pass on their knowledge to newbies.
I've certainly never considered you in the 2% 'ers whoever and whatever they are, luckily those who don't contribute anything worthwhile or constructive themselves but sit on the sidelines to snipe at others posts are probably what the 2% covers, but they are few and far between and most ignore their inane comments.....
Hang in there fella.....where would we be without our Phantom ?
PS: From time to time GN's have non RV GTG's for coffee or a meal somewhere so keep your eye on them, or pop in for a cuppa or happy hour if there is a group in any area you happen to be.
