Well I'm new to this forum so I had better introduce myself.
I go by the name Spokkie as in Star Trek.
We're onto our 2nd caravan, it is a 2015 20' Jayco Starcraft Outback. We tow it with a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. We are extremely pleased with the tow vehicle as it is doing a great job. The caravan is pretty good but has a couple of issues but what caravan doesnt.
We left Perth early July and made our way up the West coast to Darwin, from there we headed down the centre doing Uluru of course and have been in Adelaide for Christmas & New year.
The plan is to continue very slowly around to Vic/NSW coastline and eventually make it into QLD. From there across the top and maybe back or Darwin, because we loved it. Not sure yet because I don't like to make too many plans because they always change, but possibly zig zag our way back down through the Eastern states until we get back to Porat Augusta then spend some time doing the eyre peninsula then back into WA. Who knows what happens from there.
We have been on the road for 5 months and are enjoying it very much. We have brought our two small dogs with us and they seem to be enjoying the trip too.
How long are we going for? As long as it takes us. We are even playing with the idea of selling the home, upgrading the van and going on the road full time.
Welcome to the gang Spokkie, enjoy here and out in the playground.
No dribble mate as it is always good to read what other travellers are upto out here in the playground and I tell you that for free.
May the force be with you.

TANJOOBERRYMUCH Dougwe and seeing as you are a man of your word, I believe you, so you are entitled to early release from the naughty room but you must leave a RED there for KFT as he is sure to go off topic once he reads this

Yes I picked that up instantly too. Glad to provide some entertainment tho.
Hate to spoil the fun but the nick name doesn't derive from Star Trek, it came about because I used to own a Vulcan cruiser motorcycle.

Welcome Spokkie
My advice is to take your time. We are very young grey nomads (my husband is grey, Im not..lol) and we have been living in our caravan permanently since 2010. We sold all our furniture and rented our house. It took us just 5 years just to do the eastern states. Now we are in Victor Harbor and been here since Feb 2015, but finally leaving in next month for the Flinders Ranges.
Enjoy your travels.
G'day all.
