Jules - it was a bit of a shaky start to 2016 with the fire just down the road......but unless the wind gods make a change, it seems you guys up there will be ok.
We wont catch up with you before you leave on Monday (or has that changed lol) - it was great to meet you both and look forward to many repeats in the future

Bruce - still on track to leave Monday - thought we were going to have to pull out yesterday though, got ready, but all good!!!! Drove up to Lancelin this morning not far from Seabird a car has caught fire, possibly overnight, on the side of the road causing a fire along the ege of the road in trees, and travelled into paddocks behind - looks like all good except for the car, completeley burnt out. Another car was obviously rolled about 20m away from the burnt out car, don't know if they are related!!!
What would we do without our firies - volunteers who put their lives and home life on hold to help others - good on them, support them if you can - they need it.

It amazes me Jules how when peoples vehicles break down, for various reasons, they leave them sitting there for days and weeks. And I'm talking about fairly late model cars. If they cant afford a breakdown mechanic or towie, you'd think they could find someone to tow their vehicle home......
Then low life ferals come along and steal from then, smash up the vehicle and/or set fire to them.
When we bought the van up to sufils, we saw a burnt out vehicle on the side of the road which had set fire to only a small portion of the bush thankfully - otherwise we could have had another major fire.
