OK, I had a real rush of blood while in the paper shop a couple of days ago, and for the first time ever in my 75 years I dropped a $50 note on the counter and said to Gavin, give me 5 X $10 Scratchies. The most I have ever done is buy a couple of $1 or $2 scratchies. Well I couldn't get home quick enough and start scratching. The result was $35, so the next day I added $1 and got 12 X $3 scratchies. Boy I must have been out in the sun too long or something. Now the 12 X $3 scratchies have turned up $60. Boy the trauma is starting to get to me, do I get 6 X $10, or 20 X $3 scratchies.
Sorry folks, watch this space, as I will make an UNEDUCTED decision tomorrow.

Thanks dishlicker that's excellent advice however, I did say I am having a rush of blood, and have written off the 50 bucks, and have reached the point of no return.
Therefore, I will I will push on to the end, I can't take it with me.

A friend of mine won $1000.00 worth of scratchies in a raffle. First go netted him $586.00 - next one $372.00. It's controlled so it never pays back the full 100% of the value invested to buy a full set of tickets. They're not a charity - they're a business. (He stopped at $372.00.) There's one born every minute.

So Simmo, how did it go?

hako, not looking too flash at the moment but, I am only half way through the 20 X $3 Scratchies I ultimately settled on. Even though I haven't gone too far, I have come to one conclusion. Buying 2 or 3 X 1 or 2 dollar scratchies every week or 2 is a waste of money. From now on I will get a Fifty Dollar bunch once every month or 2 or 3 and increase the odds from 10 in a 100 to 12 in a 100. Yep I can feel that Million Dollar mansion coming 1 day after I check out, lucky kids.
I hope I sound like an optimist.

Simmo - That mansion is going to be no good for you - the neighbours will complain about your horse in the ceeeeement pool (Beverley Hillbillys TV series for those old enough to remember them) and they wouldn't like it grazing on your manicured lawns and gardens LOL
Have a great Xmas mate and an even better New Year!! - and keep scratching (no.....not the fleas and ticks - the scratchies)
