A bushfire WATCH AND ACT has been issued for people in the eastern part of Gidgegannup, for an area bounded by Lilydale Road, Toodyay Road, Bailup Road, Dinsdale Road and Breeze Road, in the City of Swan.
BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR:
The bushfire is moving fast in an easterly direction.
It is out of control and unpredictable.
Burning embers are likely to be blown around your home. Spot fires are starting up to 100 metres ahead of the fire.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING:
Firefighters are protecting houses in Mayo Road and Toodyay Road.
More than 100 career and volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Bush Fire Service firefighters are on the scene.
Firefighters are fighting the fire and working to build containment lines.
Aerial support is assisting ground crews.
Here I was hoping for a Christmas with-out any more fires here in the West,
Take care out there People.

Hi KJ
Wouldnt it be better to post your fire updates in the special sticky on this forum titled : STICKYFire updates,
The reason the sticky was made was to keep all fire updates together so that the information can be accessed readily if needed.

"Yep" slip of the finger there, A Very Happy Camper,
I usually post updates into that section, must have got carried away with reading some other tread.
that update does now appear in the correct position.
