At 75 years, the trusty old Picker Upper really helps. Trouble is, you want it in the kitchen and it's in the laundry, or you want it in the bedroom and it's in the bathroom. So I went looking and have just ordered 3 of the invaluable assistants for a total of $8.40 including delivery. Ours is only a relatively small Park home, and we will have 5 of them spread around. If anybody wants to spoil themselves and have one at you finger tips when you need it go here.
I keep one in the House, and one in the Campervan.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Sheba, If you have them all over the place, you will get to find they are a life changer. I don't care if people say I am LAZY or USELESS, if something makes those last 2 or 20 years more enjoyable, I say go for it.
Yes I am a USELESS, LAZY, BLUDGING old Pri, no,,,, person and I am having fun. I use mine to pick up a feather, and my pyjamas and the odd sliced piece of bean. Who cares? you only live once,,,,,,,,,,I think.
Also, the Internet is definitely better than Dad and Dave was.

Thanks very much for the tip.
Having been immobilsed in bed by agonising back pain on two occasions for 2 weeks each time, I think it's prudent to take extra care when picking things up. I'm not yet at the stage where I need a device, but I am very conscious of bending my knees rather than my back, or using a desk or table for support as a golfer would use a club. I also turn with my feet rather than my back. Using a Picker-Upper is not lazy at all.

We have been using them since Phil had his first hip replacement 12 years ago and his surgeon gave him one. Over the years with a 2nd hip done and spinal ops it has been replaced and we now have several around the place, So handy for lots of things.

we got a Bunnings one and use it to reach for the branches and othee rubiish you cant reach on your RV roof, even when youre at the top of the ladder.
We actually bought it because we dropped a tube of toothpaste down the back (outside) of the toilet and couldn't get our arm down far enough to reach it. I would have left it there, but the BOSS went on and on about it, so bought this handy device. And yep, got the toothpaste tube out (which she promptly turfed in the bin !!) and I now use it to pluck (that's with a "p") rubbish off my 'van roof
