have tried out theses mirrors, after i trip 1 changed the glass they are convex mirrors
meaning when a car is behind it looks about 20 car lenghts away. but no it is right behind you very close
in my opinion a real stupid idea for a towing mirror. also they do vibrate on minor rough surfaces
your thoughts on these mirrors?

G'day Terrola
I have been using the milenco grand aero for a couple of years now and towed around 30,000km with them on my Navara.
I have no issues with them at all, you do get used to the slightly convex mirror and all mirrors will vibrate to some extent on rough surfaces.
I have never had one blow back when 55m road trains go past.
overall I am very happy with them especially when compared to my previous ATM's

Hi Terrola
I have travelled 17,000 k's with mine and have had no trouble, as Frank said, you do get used to them quickly and I too have had no trouble with excess vibration or blowback.
Having said that, my mate and his wife with whom we were travelling with also bought them, and they could not handle the convex mirrors, so they ditched them.
It seems it might just be that they suit some peoples vision and not others

I have no problems with my Milenco's. I use them to see down the immediate sides of the van but rely mostly on the rear vision camera.

When you order Milenco Mirrors if you look at their website they explain the two types of mirror so maybe yours is different to others I also have Milenco and found them great .

hi tamey
you might be right. suit some not others
as for mine i tried to give them away to 3 caravaners in a caravan club
each said no thank you they were like me like to see whats going on in real time not distorted vision
also said can be dangerous in traffic which i agree.
also when backing van by myself they are useless
i bought the milenco because the set up is so easy
between the convex mirror and to much vibratation i will go back to my old mirrors bit more to set them up normal glass and no movement at all
and send the milenco to the tip
thanks to every one for there replies

For those of you thinking of buying Milenco mirrors do look at the website to check out the different mirrors and they do come in flat or convex , After doing my research learnt that flat glass was the way to go for me and am more than happy .

Gday...
Seems Milenco are aware of people's preferences for flat or convex and cater for it.
Maybe I was lucky and got mirrors that have flat glass, as they don't seem to distort at all

I have Milenco's ' flat mirror and sooo easy to use. Never had a problem with them, even if the vibrate a little you can see what's behind. Not much good for doing your make up while driving though.
