Tomorrow night (Monday 7th Dec). ABC24- 8pm a story about the Min Min Way- Boulia to Winton. Interview with the publican at the Middleton Pub, and film of one of the great trip on this road. A development road, pretty well maintained, with spectacular scenery. Climb up to the Cawnpore Lookout, and the hill behind it to be gob smacked!
if you've never been this way, you will want to go! I've done it three times!
UDATE: sorry guys it is ABC1 - 8pm - called Outback Roads!!!!

Jules, is this part of the Back Roads series which goes to air on Mondays at 8pm on ABC1? Tonight's episode is about Winton. Can't find anything similar on the ABC's other channels (ABC2, ABC3 or ABC News 24) at that time.

Will also watch. My great grandparents (not long out from the UK) & my grand mother as a child lived there in the 1890's. Cheers Alice

Back Roads is a GREAT show! I loved the first (I think) episode about Ceduna, so really looking forward to this one. We've visited Winton several times, but have only done the Boulia-Winton road once. Cawnpore Lookout is AMAZING and the whole Min Min lights mystery so intriguing (read about them on my blog if you're interested). We also headed south from Boulia to Bedourie - in 2011 there was only 17 km of unsealed road, so there's probably less now. Does anyone know?
