I pulled up next to a 200 series Landcruiser today North Ryde in Sydney.
Plasted all over it (Any where any time Optus Voice and Data anywhere any time Satellite).
Does anyone know if it means they now have a Sat Dish like our camper Sat Dish???????????????????? We would be Very Keen to have.
It turned before I could get a photo.

G'day JIm,
It may be something to do with the new NBN satellites that were launched a while ago.
It is primarily a sat service for remote areas. I did ask if it would be available mobile/transportable but got no answer.

Did a quick search, it's called SatTraveller there's some info here: http://www.optus.com.au/business/broadband-internet/networking-solutions/satellite/voice-data/sat-traveller
On the page there are 3 "Dish" options but I couldn't find any links to pricing, seems you need to contact Optus for more info. It looks like it's designed for business use, so probably cost prohibitive for private use.

NBN are launching some satellites this year to provide internet services to isolated people. Unfortunately a fixed address is required so those traveling through isolated areas are not eligible for the connection.
