Southerly winds forecast for today could cause flare-ups on the Pinery fireground in South Australia's mid-north, the CFS has warned.
Strong winds on Monday caused embers to spark a number of grass and tree fires within containment lines where 200 firefighters were working throughout the day.
Crews are expected to remain in the area for some time.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Matt Collopy told 891 ABC Adelaide conditions would heat up this weekend.
"[It is] certainly [going to be] very hot conditions across the weekend ... Saturday in the high 30s, and 40s across the west of our state and on the Sunday it looks like we will see high 30s, if not 40s here in Adelaide as well,"
