Hi Everyone. Eril and I have been cruising the Oceania area around New Caladonia and Vanuatu for 13 nights. We needed to try a cruise to see how my disabilities handled cruising. It was extremely hard on my back due to so much walking around the ship to enjoy activities, and queing for a lot of things. I loved it BUT have come home just so exhausted and sore!!
The food, entertainment, service from staff was excellent, and the weather was perfect.
Learnt a lot from people who were regular cruisers, so maybe we will try it again.
Hi Aussie Paul glad that you enjoyed the cruise great that you managed that . We went cruising a few years ago and Jo ,wife, needs a wheelchair for long distance which we found nearly impossible to do the shore tours. Although we were told that the chair would fit into the busses in reality it was just to hard so we had to cancel some of them . However life on the ship was great and we often dream of going again .We are hooked !!

You both look good Paul. Glad you enjoyed it but not good about your back.
I know it probably is not good in a way but would a wheel chair help when in line waiting for meals or moving around. I have never been on a cruise so don't know if that would work. I also understand you might not want to but it is just a thought on my part mate so you don't get the back pain to spoil your time.
The main thing about being on a cruise ship is to keep an eye on the Starboard side for any icebergs. I don't do cruise's cos I can't tell Starboard from Port side :)
Keep Safe on the road, um, sea.
