I know this is probably one of those oft asked questions but I thought it worth asking again as these things often change .
So the big fiscal question is " is Wikicamps worth the whole $8 they want for it" ?
Cheers Al

The best camp site you will ever get.Better than the books because its user updated daily, better than the other big camp app which you have to be a club member to access.

Swoffer.....YEP.
However, make sure YOU put honest comments etc in it too as it's the people that use Wiki that make it what it is. Great info and pics is always good.

The coordinates are never wrong, sometimes the flag is up the back of camping area and it will send you to the road nearest to the flag. It is sometimes on the other side of a river or a street with no entrance into camping area

Well , just took the tablet for a drive , ofline , and as has been said it worked fine as a gps . Doesn't have the functions of a dedicated gps , such as speed , route planning , speed time and distance stuff etc , but I can live with that .

Remember there are three different ways to show coordinates.Your GPS may be set to a different format of coordinates

Yes it''s a good app that relies on ''responsible'' peoples contributions. We've noticed a few mistakes (misinformation) in content though when looking at a few places that we've camped. Most are OK though
A while ago there were a few idiots giving co-ordinates for camping in their neighbors driveways.

I must be different to everyone else . I prefer Camps7 on the gps and yes wikicamps are good for prices etc I don't think its any better than the rest ,geo wiki is good from the CMCA website if you are a member , but I guess they all have there misgivings,
I know this is probably one of those oft asked questions but I thought it worth asking again as these things often change .
So the big fiscal question is " is Wikicamps worth the whole $8 they want for it" ?
