A box of snack & sandwich size clip lock bags are handy to carry. Cost around $2 each at the supermarket.
I put dog bones individually in the freezer. Individual pieces of meat in the fridge, freezer. Good for left over food. Good for a few biscuits in the back pack.
Good to store insulation tape, stops it building up junk on the sticky sides. Great if you pull something apart, saves loosing small parts. Good for dividing up bait & freezing.
All my herbs and spices travel in individual snack size bags, like you we use and re-use for freezer storage.

Being a Solo I find I throw a lot of bread out so now use the large ones to keep 1/2 a loaf in then freeze. After the first 1/2 is used I then take the frozen one out to thaw. No more bread being chucked out. I also put USB sticks in them and label the bag what is on the stick. Great for all those charging leads we gather these days too. Great invention.
Good thread Wasn me.

Great tip on the charging leads Doug. I had mine in a plastic basket held together with twist ties. Pull 1 out & end up with 3 tangled together. All sorted now.
I saw a lady crocheting last week, see had her ball of string in one, with the clip lock open just enough to let the string out. She said it saved chasing it & rolling it up again, every time it fell down.
Cheers

2 litres of ice cream cut into 4 pieces with each piece sealed in a sandwich sized zip lock bag fits easily into a smaller space in the freezer and reduces in volume as each serve is eaten.
Cheers,
Peter

I use them to 'vacuum seal' my cleaned red claw before freezing.
Method .. put several red claw in a zip lock bag and with the top open slowly immerse the bag into a bucket of clean salted water. This forces out most of the air in the bag. As the water slowly reaches the open top, allow a small amount to enter the bag (mild preservative effect), then zip lock the top. Be careful not to pierce the bag with the sharp red claw spikes.
I also us them to freeze single pizza quantities of cheese, chorizo, pepperoni, etc.
Edit .. Forgot to mention using the extremely small bags (circa 1"x2") to hold small quantities of fishing things like sinkers, hooks, swivels, red beads, et.al.
