Can anybody recommend a good over the counter wake up pill / medicine / tablet. For years No-Doze used to work well for me, even though I only used them maybe 2 or 3 times a year, they used to give me a real lift. These days they don't do anything for me at all. I haven't taken them for a few years, and have tried about 3 times lately and nothing happens. 2 at a time used to be enough, now 3 do nothing.
I wait with sleepy eyes.

Well I really thought that most people in here being over a bit 21 that I would get a rush of suggestions, maybe they are all asleep.

YS, just drink a couple of cans of Pepsi Max. Even if the caffeine doesn't work the full bladder will make sleep almost impossible.
No Doz are pure caffeine - They used to have a Vitamin B12 additive but the formulae was changed over 20 years ago. I cannot understand why anyone would consider taking them with common side effects www.drugs.com/sfx/nodoz-side-effects.html including;
More common Feeding intolerance
Less common Agitation
black, tarry stools
blood in the stools or urine
bruising
burning feeling or tenderness in the stomach
chills
coma
confusion
coughing or vomiting blood
decreased urine output
depression
dizziness
fainting
fast heartbeat
fever
headache
hostility
indigestion
irritability
lethargy
lightheadedness
muscle twitching
nausea
persistent bleeding
rapid, shallow breathing
rapid weight gain
rash
seizures
severe stomach pain
stomach upset
stupor
swelling of the face, ankles, or hands
trouble breathing
unusual tiredness or weakness
vomiting
vomiting of blood or material that looks like coffee grounds
If any of the following symptoms of overdose occur while taking caffeine, get emergency help immediately:
Symptoms of overdose Irritability
nervousness
rapid heartbeat
trouble sleeping
Some caffeine side effects may not need any medical attention. As your body gets used to the medicine these side effects may disappear. Your health care professional may be able to help you prevent or reduce these side effects, but do check with them if any of the following side effects continue, or if you are concerned about them:
More common Rash
Less common Dry skin

Thanks Possum3, I think I will stick with the RED for now, do I want to wake up or go the other way? I do have trouble sleeping but, maybe that arvo camp is not helping.
Once again thanks.....Simmo.

On a couple of long distance drives I have tried a can of V with a V shot in it, while also chewing on a big bag of lolly snakes. Kept me pretty chirpy for quite a while.
