I took this Photo in Normanton Q.L.D. It's a replica of a 28' Croc which was shot in the Normanton River, check out the powerful jaws on this "Son of some Mother" !!!
Sit certainly was a monster and one brave woman who took him on, had my photo taken sitting behind him last year and I felt like getting up and running.

"YEP" it certainly was a monster, I have another photo somewhere ( can't find it at present ) of some-ones Baby sitting inside it's jaws !!
What amazes me is that people still swim in that river

I was in Normanton a couple of years ago and standing by that croc statue when the local Ranger stopped for a chat.
He reckons that there are a couple of crocs, easily that big, skulking in the river at the moment. He said he had seen one of them
And before anybody asks, YES, I let them swim away. In fact about a week or so latter at the same place I caught a 3 1/2 foot Black Tip shark, and while I was getting my hooks out on the edge of the Surf my wife suddenly said LOOK, and 2 babies came out and swam away. It was an incredible experience for both of us to get so close to nature.

This one is in 3metres of water over in the Nth Western Australia under our 6m boat in 2010. we estimated it at 5 metres people were swimming 300 mtres away. and wouldn't
get out of the water.

You were lucky that the Croc didn't try and come aboard, it would have ruined your day, for sure !!
