Hmmm! She has been a member for a long time and came on regularly. I'm sure she would have been back on if she could.
Maybe she is still travelling that particular road and maybe no reception..
Hope she shows up soon.

Yes that is the one.
Her last post made it sound like she was heading up the GCR towards the end of Sept. That's more than a month ago. It takes most people only a few days to traverse that road - between Laverton and Yulara, when we did it, we only had two overnight stops.
The reason I raise this is because she seemed a little apprehensive about doing the remote and relatively little used road on her own.
It is not an area where I would be all that happy bush camping for any length of time, and one wouldn't want to stay at the roadhouse camp grounds for long, either.
Guess we can only hope she is ok and comes back on, soon, so we will know.

And their is mobile/internet access near the community's as we were going to do this trip next week on our way back to the NT & did extensive research on the services available.
Road conditions have stopped us now as the recent rains have made parts unsuitable for a motorhome to travel safely.
At what stage do we as a group raise the alarm about her whereabouts????

I am wondering the same.
If anyone from the Forum - or anyone you know - is travelling the GCR soon, perhaps you could ask at the roadhouses, if they remember solo single lady in her 30's, going through in last few weeks.
Unfortunately, this time of year, traffic on GCR is less.

Perhaps a private message to Cindy, as webmaster she may have other contact details. Also how about putting this on the general forum as well, lots of members who aren't solo don't read the solos.
Just a couple of thoughts.

Howdy Everyone
I am so sorry I got everyone worried.. I am surprised but its nice to know people care..
I am safe and well.. I finished the Great Central Road and then went to stay with friends in Alice Springs then recently made it back home to Sydney to visit family and friends as been a long time since I was here last..
Wow The Great Central Road was an experience but a good one as met a few couples and convoyed some of the way.. I still can't believe I did it on my own with my little dog..
Thanks again and again I am sorry I got people worried..
No one seems to know if Colleen made it across the Great Central Road ok.
She does not seem to have accessed the forum for over a month.
Does anyone know anything about her welfare and whereabouts?
