We just cant seem to drive past one always about mid morning!! We have breakfast early but by 11am if we spot one the bus just changes direction & every town no matter how small seems to have one. Haven't struck a crook one yet !!
Although you do meet some characters in these places as we did today with Jules 47 walking in & asking "Who's the Doo Crew" I put up my hand a bit sheepishly wondering if it was somebody we held up on our journey, plenty of long steep hills in SW WA.

In the fear of getting bashed, a lot of people who do not stop in a town without a free camp may very well miss a great bakery

We've both recently lost over 10kg each. We've cut out bakery type food & walk briskly for an hour every morning. We only drink wine on Wednesday & Saturday nights with a meal. We don't have any problems avoiding bakeries because we now feel & look 10 years younger than we did 6 months ago. The best thing we've ever done!

Keith. Wish we had your will power with food and drink !!
We have a BP servo that bakes very night the most fantastic pies and cakes and the coffee is as good as any city bistro. We are weak and don't do what you guys are doing.
Instead we intend to to get back into our home city, Perth, at the end of the year and go back to work - wont eat as much and more exercise lol

My question would be -
Why do you avoid the wonderful Bakeries ?????
