HI all it seems that we will need new tyres for our Nisson but are unsure of which way to go
We don't go on sand a lot , may have to travel along dirt roads but we don't go off road driving
We are towing a jayco 20ft starcraft and get about 370 kl per tank which is 80 lt
any advice when we greatly appreciated please

I put Cooper A/T3 on the Colorado earlier this year and so far would have to say I am not over happy with them. While up in Townsville during Winter I was on a gravel road in high 4x4 and felt the Coopers didn't grip as I had expected. I also feel they are very soft and had to play around with pressure for some time until I thought they felt better. I wouldn't bother with them next time.
I had BFG A/T on my previous tug, Prado 4x4 and was very happy with them. Only reason I changed was I got good price for the Cooper.
I know there are a few on the forum that run with Cooper and very happy with them though. I have been told you either like Cooper or you don't, there is no in between and I agree.
IMO.
Good luck and keep safe out there.

Which ever you decide my thoughts are to use good quality tyres, it's the only thing between you and the road.
I use Bridgestone D697 Dueler on our tandem axle Van - Happy with them
On the tug I have Mickey Thompsons and a second spare set of Sumitomo Serengeti -- alternate depending where I am off to - Happy with these as well
I can understand price can be the issue when buying and if looking hard enough good tyres can be found for reasonable prices.
Cheers Vince

Quite a few places selling Yokahamas at buy 3 get the 4th free. Our Son's got them on his Navara & we had them on our Ranger before it was struck by lightning & we got rid of it. Yokahamas are/were great.

Make sure you buy the right size for rim etc.. It's tempting to go higher aspect ratio / bigger tyre .. But it plays havoc with gear ratios, handling..Jap tyres have good rep.. A few Asian tyres have good rep now .. Keep in mind most tyres are made in Asia now.. Even Mitchelin ..

Many companies manufacture tyres all over the world, including Michelin.
Check out the dot code on your tyres and check them out here: Tyre DOT code listing. It shows 27 listings for Michelin Tyres.
