are there any helpful ostomates out there who may be able to offer advice on a couple of matters.
Shaving of area - accidents with razors can create major problems - does anybody have tips for a reasonably priced battery shaver ?
Stomal hernia support belts - anybody offer advice on the belts available and good points or bad ones
Hoping for some wise response,
Davo

Hi Davo,
I have a stoma and a stomal hernia. I can't help with either of those questions, but if you're on FB, there's a group called Ileostomy and Jpouch Support Network.
I have only recently read about the hernia belt but haven't looked for them yet.
Sorry my reply isn't that wise, but I try.

thanks for your comments Beth, at least I got one . Am amazed I didn't get more as there must be many fellow "sufferers" out there in Nomad World. I solved the first problem with a ladies shaver - perfect for delicate work and have seen a few sites on belts but really need comments on their good or bad points. Maybe somebody will still come good

Unfortunately it's a subject that many people don't want to talk about. It's a shame, because IBD..Inflammatory Bowel Disease, is a huge problem in Australia.
