It seems my weird sense of humour/views on what is really important/meaningful at this stage of our lives..... has upset the complaining/offended anonymous killjoys who stealth among us,.. yet again....with removal of several more of my posts...I wouldn't even know they disappeared if not told by PM by forum members....I'm out permanently.....its all been rather fun really.....stay serious.....I hope to meet some of you 'out there'......folk like Billleeeee, Jules, Vic etc.....really are the salt of the earth....and to be admired for being genuine travelling inspirations for us all.....I share Billlleeeee's pain who I understand also upset the serious forum wowsers and went into self imposed exile........lighten up folks...we're dead for so long......and there's no return ticket I understand......to those who have inspired me with PM's and posts I thank you, and I trust I have helped a few in their gold detecting activities etc along the way.......good luck Young Simmo I hope you last the distance...
Little doubt this post will also go to the Bermuda Triangle of lack of mirth/understanding.....over and out......Hoo Rooooooo.

It's all a mystery to me. How come people come & then Go for some reason . I seem to miss it all & wonder if I am dense, blind, wet behind the ears. Just when I start to enjoy someone's posts they're gone!!! A bit sad Alice

Good luck Goldfinger, I don't know how long I will last either for the same reasons. I have a brand new Fisher Gold Bug Pro, with 11 inch oval and 5 inch Diam coils sitting here for over a year, and not been able to get out and try it. Mainly because of my wife's immobility, and I can't leave her with out transport. I might have to out and dig some3 holes in the local sports grounds.

I missed whatever was going on too. We've lost so many good people over the last year or so, it's not funny. I use to be on here 3-4 hours every night.

I’m very sorry to hear of your decision to leave, Goldfinger. Your posts and humour were much appreciated by many, myself included. Just to clarify, I removed two jokes that Goldfinger posted in the ‘Jokes’ section. One of them I removed because Goldfinger said he tried to delete it himself but couldn’t work out how to remove the text in the attachment. The other was a picture of a mechanic which displayed some of a man’s private parts. Although I understand that the picture was meant in fun, I also must be sensitive to the fact that this is a public (and family-friendly) forum so these kinds of pictures are not really appropriate for our audience. Again, I’m sorry to hear that Goldfinger has decided to leave due to the removal of two posts in the jokes section but that was his decision.
