He and his wife are going on a cruise, maybe that's where he is, though I should think the vineyard would be pretty busy!

Hmmm sampling all those wines would quieten him down abit, I was thinking he may have been offended and gone "Walk about".

Hi All,
I will be out of action for a few weeks. I'm at my home in Philippines and I can't boot my laptop. I put it down to the Windows 10 upgrade !!! ggrrrr!! I don't want to do a restore until I return to Tasmania as I don't have the discs for all the extra programs I have installed, and of course I want to try and save all my files. Fortunately most are backed up on a 1 TB plug in portable drive. Consequently I don't have access to my e-mail address book, Favorites, etc. I'm currently using the laptop I leave in the house here which is primarily for contact with our relative that lives in the house. Next week, I'll be travelling around so no more laptop access. I return to Tassie November 22. so maybe a few days after that I hope to be back online normally.
From time to time I will have a look in so if there is a need to contact me, leave a PM. All I need now is another major typhoon like the ones I have almost been caught up in the last two years running !!!
Regards to all,
Ken

Thanks dING but I was over the 1 month. Restore will take me back to Windows 7. Interestingly, I found this article when researching the problem. This is what happened to me:
Windows 10 Upgrade Problems: Black Screen After Updating (New) Some users taking advantage of the Windows 10 Upgrade are finding that after the upgrade has finished their device just gives them a black screen and wont start. Microsoft is still working on a fix for this, but there isnt a way to avoid it right now. Worse, it seems that the issue is happening on multiple PC configurations. For now, we can only suggest using the back up utilities that came with your device and creating some external media back up before you start the upgrade in case this happens. If this happens and you live near a Microsoft Store, make an appointment with them to have your device looked at if you run into the issue. Some, reports, (like those from our comments) indicate that deactivating virus programs before performing the upgrade prevents this issue. - See more at: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/07/30/7-windows-10-upgrade-problems-how-to-fix-them/#sthash.XIlkptCU.dpuf
