Gday...
There are a few members who have 12v fans installed in their vans/motorhomes.
I believe the majority use and recommend the Carframo van shown here.
Not cheap, but apparently very effective and low power consumption. Others will give more info I'd reckon.
cheers - John

We have two of the Carframo fans shown by RL - wouldn't be without them. We purchased ours online from Whitford Marine, who have a store in Elizabeth Streeet Melbourne, up near the Vic Market. The usual price from them is $199.but we got them on special for $139. Have seen them other places for $169. Use extremely little power, and are able to be swivelled around so the one near the bed, for instance, can be turned round to cover the kitchen area. Very handy in hot weather. Highly recommend them.
Thanks looks like the Carframo fans the one to go for will check it out thanks again keep cool cheers

Second & third that, had the Boro models first until the curtain cord tangled them & buggered them.
Carframo blacks fitted now, very quiet & versatile the way they swivel.

Just bought a Carframo fan on EvilBay for $115 including postage using a Click15 coupon from PayPal. The fan itself is brilliant!. 0.34 amps on the highest speed

We bought a 12 volt fan from super cheap auto. It's 12" 3 speed and on low uses 1.5 amps. We have it running most of the day and all night. It's very efficient. Cost $98.

If you click on Johns link and scroll down its called "cool breeze" and on eBay it's $59.
We've been using it for three months now and find it very efficient.

I have had 2 Caframo on my motorhome now for 3 years or so.
One is over the bed area and the other over the dining/lounging area
Personally I think they are excellent.
Mine have a timer included for 2,4,6,8 hours and permanent.
But when I wired them up I put a seperate switch for each of them next to the bed so if the weather cools overnight I can turn them off without getting out of bed, just a point worth considering.
Stay cool

I have a Caframo but changed the cable to heavier cable as it kept cutting out. I took the back off and wired the heavier cable directly to the + - inside. Works a treat now.

I bought a $12 one and it broke first use!
Have since bought an $80 portable Companion 2 speed fan from BCF. Has normal plus rechargeable batteries, power & USB power plugs. Also LED light and radio.
