It has been in decline for a while. When we first went you had a tour of the factory, you weren't supposed to but you managed to walk out with a pocket full of chocolate. I believe now it is just a video and you can buy seconds. I wonder if this has anything to do with the down turn in sales since the Halal certification thing came up

We visited Cadbury's in 2011 when we were down in Tassie - just to go buy some chocolate in the shop, but we were told we had to pay the tour price just to enter the shop, even though we were not going to be doing the tour (had done it previously) - not happy, so all 4 of us just did a U-turn and bought our chocolate at the Winter Chocolate Festival at Latrobe from the House of Anvers - much nicer Belgian chocolate!

We went on the Cadburys tour many years ago.
I was an inspector in another part of the food industry, and rember the hygiene of the factory to be below standard. Their was dust on overhead structures and pipes above open product, and employees removing seeds from cherries without gloves. One of the workers had a band aid on his hand.[ Need I go on, Yuck!! ]
There goes your free Chocolates Folks, "What a Bummer" We went through this Centre while down in Hobart and found it very interesting,
Had a great collection of Products and advertising from yesteryear,
There goes another attraction which drew many people into Claremont, "Damn shame" it has to close.
