I'm not a coffee drinker but that looks a good idea.
Wonder how many cups per battery?? Should think at 7mins (battery) to brew it would use some power.

I see there is one of these Coffee Makers up for Auction on Evil Bay at the moment, $60 doesn't look like there is a battery with it though......
IMHO, the failure with nearly all these and pod coffee machines is there is no way to "stretch" the milk. It is this "stretching" that gives the "smoothness" to the coffee drink. Stretching milk is VERY different to frothing milk.

A friend on mine gave me a coffee from this machine two weeks ago at work.
He told me ( maybe mistakingly) his machine required the higher amp hour batteries than some of the ones reported in the post and would take the older batteries as well as the lithium ones????? Different models maybe ???? His machine is three weeks old and was a gift from Makita Australia.
i have loaned my ROK coffee maker to him to make a camping comparison.
To me it comes down to the coffee type used, both type machines make good but not great coffee 8/10 range. I say the ROK is the better one for camping but I would be happy to use the Makita full time at home as well.

Hey Paul, I got some milk and put some in one hand and more in the other hand and tried stretching it but it just fell on the floor. Now I have to clean the floor.
Sort of still on topic
Dave, mate, just for you and off topic sorry WoodynSue...

Using one of those, you'd need to have 240V available to recharge your batteries. If you've got 240V available, why would you use the inefficient battery job? I still think for camping, the stove top Italian style coffee pots are the go.

I think seeing as it is made by a major tool manufacturer it may be meant for use on job sites where there is no power or not much in the way of access to it.

It wouldn't be a problem with the young blokes I used to work with. They only used to have a can of Mother and a couple of packets of chips or chockies for smoko anyway. And there's no way they'd risk having to do up more than a couple of bolts by hand either.

Personally I like my caffeine fix cold and fizzy and I never have to worry about the quality as it's the same wherever I go - Pepsi Max.

Im a coffee tragic and love the smell of freshly roasted (yep - quite a few places now roast their own beans in the shop) beans and quality coffee ( ergo quality beans).
When in a place that meets my high requirements (haha), I will have 1-2 per day - Im a flat white person. The only thing that makes me "cry" is to hear people say that want sugar in their coffee.
Maccas do great flat whites in their McCafes and at a good price as well. I get piles of loyalty cards from their country stores as they can be used anywhere in the country. Many city stores will give you a card that can only be redeemed at that store, although most other stores will still give use a freebie on these cards.
I LOVE COFFEE !! (and not the instant brands)
And Doug - you were using the wrong parts of your body to stretch your milk.....
Just found this while checking out the makita range
I bought the makita chainsaw today should be much more discreet when cutting some wood
