just purchased a Waeco CF 50 portable fridge just interested to hear any comments regarding this fridge if anyone is using the Waeco brand, faults, problems or tips for use, also positive comments would be good, BCF has them on special at the moment with the protective bag.

Had my waeco cf 60 for 18 months now. Reliable and quiet. Not a problem at all. Would always recommend . It has always run off the Solar Panels without missing a beat.

We have been using a Waco cf 50 now for the past seven years for at least 4 months a year on our extended trips it would have travelled over 40000 Klm, when we leave home it is full of frozen precooked meals and half a dozen cans in the side section that doesn't freeze. once the food is gone we use it as an extra fridge and on the very rare occasion that I catch enough fish it again reverts to a freezer.
When we are travelling it is held in place with strong occy straps through the handles and running on battery power and when we are stopped it runs on 240 power I have found my fridge freezer to be excellent and it operates very well even in very hot climates also much easier to clean than any other portable unit that I have seen.

we have had our Waeco for about 12 years now in the coaster , only thing I would recommend is to wire it in with larger wire size than recommended. other than that it is a really good fridge .

My 40lt is approx 4 years old and I'm very happy with it. I initially got it to go to Cape York with, I lived out of it for 5 weeks and started with all my meat cryovaced but not frozen plus all other food needing refrigerating. It performed very well.
We now take it in the tug and use it as a second fridge when towing the van, which it handles on its head no probs.
I would highly recommend waco products to anyone as I believe they are excellent products.
Regards
Ashley

I have had the 110l waeco for15 years and ran constantly for 10 of them without a problem. Last year I had to change the thermoister (sp) but easy as it has a spare wired in. I have since got a 45l for the back of the wagon for using when we take the teardrop away. Can't fault either of them
