Like the rest of you, I am a retired old fart who has dreams of exploring this vast beautiful country of Ours. I am a hot rodder and have a 1950 Ford Tudor. I have restored two caravans, the first one was a 1956 Globetrotter which was a total wreck when i got it and I replaced most outer bondwood, it was not what I wanted when I went vanning, the second van was a early 70's Franklin Caravelle, this was a great van but too big for the 2 of us. We then bought a pop top which both of us hated when we went on our first trip. We sold it and now have a Chesney Kampa GT which we are restoring. What I like is the easily cleaned fibreglass and i guess we will go camping in this one and see how it goes.
Look forward to meeting some of you guys in the next few months.

I didn't take any Pics of when I got it, as it was in a real sorry looking state, being fibreglass, I knew it would clean up and spent about 2 hours at the carwash much to the disgust of other users as my bay was the only one working ( He he) but to be fair, I am a paying customer and I did go on a week day at 1pm. I replaced the vinyl over the front and rear beds today and am rapt on how it came out. I will put up some pics in the next day or so.
Thanks woody and Sue for you comments, it would be great to see you guys on the road.
