Just picked up the Aldi catalog for 19 September. It has a lot of camping items ranging from 40 litre portable fridge/freezer, chairs, porta-pottie, and so on.
The LED torch is worth buying for $7.99. It has a signalling feature that is never advertised - press the on switch until the light clicks on, let the switch button up then press it down again. Just before it clicks the light will go out, let the button up and the light will come on. You can do this as fast as you can - you should be able to do an SOS signal.
For WA readers, be patient. Aldi have 70 stores planned for your state in the future!

I'm looking for a place to buy in NW Tassie. Going over to look around maybe late Oct or Nov. I heard a rumour that Aldi is not in Tassie - anyone know if that is right?
Interesting, will be looking at the portable fridge freezer. When my email arrives.

No, none in TASSIE. Too bad, will just have to make do without them. Thanks Dorian.

Hi Murray.
Just visited Aldi's website. It doesn't have 19th Sept listed. Just to the 12th.
https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/
Do you have a link that we can check out?
Thanks
Martin

The special won't show on the website until after this Saturday's product sales.
I too got the catalogue yesterday here in Sydney.

Hi Martin:
The catalogue is a printed flyer - there are stacks of them sitting on the counter in our local. No doubt the items will appear on Aldi's website at the beginning of next week.
The packs of foam squares are a good buy - six in a pack whereas other outlets sell them in packs of four for around the same price. Great to put down over a concrete slab - I have enough to do the floor of my annex.
Regards,
Murray

Unlike the WobblyNut, we have had only first rate service at any Aldi Store we shop at. We shop at Aldi, weekly and have never had bad service or attitude from the staff.
We have noticed though, most staff are of the older age group, that is 25 plus.
Sorry Wobbly, can't agree with you on this one.

I hate shopping as much as I hate going to the dentist, but Aldi minimises the pain. Their checkouts are usually very fast and efficient. Coles and Woolworths should send their own staff to Aldi for their apprenticeships.

Or maybe Coles/Woolworths management need to spend some time working at Aldi, perhaps?
