i am now experimenting in using my 12 volt oven now to cook cakes - going through any recipies that calls for 150 oven temps. I use a silicone tray that I found fits perfectly into oven ( with just a slight trim of the handles). So far cooked multiple 3 ingredient fruit cake & banana cakes, next to try is a brownie. Have had to adapt the size of some of the recipies to make a smaller cake & they don't brown on top, but cook through just like in an aven.
Done meatballs (ikea ones) pasties & lots of reheating. I use oven bags for most reheats to save cleaning & baking paper for pasties/pies etc
Hubby reckons I need a 2nd one.
Brought the lunch box type when dick smiths had it out for $18 this year
