So after the big campaign to save SPC in Shepparton, we decided to only buy their product whilst Supermarket shopping [ even though more expensive. ] and I would hate to count the KLMs I have travelled up to Shepp, to have a big stock up, Yes they converted me, to BUY AUSTRALIAN, to save Aussie jobs, BUT NO MORE !!! As now SPC have decided to take the '' HALAL CERTIFIED '' path and supply Monies to this organisation that IMHO is using this money to fund Islamic control and growth within Australia, and i have strong suspicions that it also goes to Fund Radical Islam, as reports have stated that the Halal certification is controlled by the more aggressive fundamentalist Islam,
I know that by just me NOT EVER AGAIN buying any SPC product, I will not make much difference, Except maybe a little piece of mind ? that at least with this one companies product, Not one cent of mine has contributed to funding these extremists, ?? Wave Goodbye to The Australia we once knew ??

Well, I have to say I am shocked to read this Dazren. I have, like you, supported SPC at supermarkets as well as big stock ups whenever I got to the outlet.
No more. I won't be so excited to do my yearly or twice yearly shop there again.
I do wonder though, since they moved in to the town of Shepparton, they do seem to stock much more than their own brand. I have also been told it is now privately owned and not exclusively an outlet for SPC. Will be worth finding out.

While I do not agree with the Halal certification, I'm afraid people miss the big picture. The large majority of SPC products come from local farmers. So if we all boycotted SPC products where would the local farmers sell their produce to? Perhaps we should put pen to paper and write to SPC and express our displeasure at the Halal certification. If enough people get off their butts and do this it may make SPC change their decision. So please do not penalise the local farmers.
The question I ask you is: Where are the products you will now buy instead of SPC come from? Overseas?
Brickies we can all play the propaganda game, but this is not the place, But i could also get other reports to put forward contradicting some of the ABC claims,Unlike some i do not put much faith into the ABC's engineered agenda,s
Please note , I did not and was not calling for All people to boycott SPC, I was just stating that I WAS a convert, However I now feel that imho it is wrong, and I personally will not be supporting them any more,, There are big things happening in this world today, and none of it is for the better, I spent 3 months in Europe last year, and what i seen was frightening, The position Australia is in today, Is about the same position that Germany and France were in about 10 years ago, They did very little to preserve their sovereignty and protect there way of life, And our now paying a very hefty price, Australia is also doing very little to our sovereignty and our way of life, and it is going to dramatically change the Australia we know, So enjoy our life as you know it, whilst you can, As our children are going to live and see some major changes, ? and their children will be living in an entirely different Australia, to the one we knew, ?/

When we were in Shepparton last it was like walking down a street in Beirut ! they're just catering for their regular customers.
Still like SPC fruit though especially their jellied varieties.
Didn't realise Beirut was now 99% European. When I was there in 2002 seemed to be majority Arabic.

And this label denotes that it is certified as safe for people of the Jewish faith.
So do we not eat tinned tuna or other items because we hate Jews?
My daughter is married to an Indonesian who is Muslim. For 10 years. We have made it our business to look into the in and outs of this faith. I am not at all concerned about it in principle and certainly not about the Halal certification process. I have read some of the press releases on the subject and almost cannot believe the rubbish spouted there. However as usual there are fringe elements that are not a benign.
It is certainly varied and diverse, and subject to different interpretations depending on the country of origin. However the christian religion has similar sides too. There are many exponents of that who I am worried about also. Zenophobia is rife in Australia and played up to by the media for its own purpose. I suggest some quiet rational thought is in order.

expect that one of the few PC fanatics that are now on this Forum to have already complained to Cindy that this post is racist or political and that it will soon be closed down !!!
Irrespective of your feelings on this matter, the bigger issue here is these drop deads will stop us from expressing an opinion and we can expect Cindy to be forced to remind us once again this a friendly Forum about Nomading and anything else controversial is banned - sad !!

Companies have to pay to have the Halal label on their products, but no payment is required to let people know that their foods are kosher.

Here is another perspective My cousin who live just outside of Rochester that grows Tomatoes. He used to send his Tomatoes to Rosella at Tatura which has now been closed down.
Close down this factory and tomatoes will come out of China and unfortunately The quality control is not as good as it is this country. Jen

I can see this getting nasty and as I am very Politically Un Correct maybe it best I keep my thoughts to myself
That's explains the fee for Slaughter of Animals for meat, !! and seeing as your so well versed on the subject, ? can you also explain what is the 'Kosher' or 'Halal' method for slaughtering Tomatoes, peaches, or other fruit and vegetables, or even how they slaughter a block of chocolate, ??
