I know a few of you fellow forumites have a Colorado so thought I would chuck this out there.
A big ask just the same but you never know if you don't ask.
I have a 2014 Colorado and a iPhone 4s that pairs nicely through bluetooth to the Collies Mylink info system. I love the feature and would be lost without it after using it for the last 12 months.
The poor old iPhone is getting old and tired, just like me I think, so looking at updating. I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy 6 the other day and very impressed. Does everything I want plus has the extra rural cover I want.
The only thing I can't get an exact answer to is, does the Galaxy S6 pair with the Mylink system.
Telstra have offered me a good deal but can't guarantee the Mylink connection. Fare enough.

You might need to do a lot of googling Douge. Seems people are having issues, but whether it is operator error or incompatibility is the question.

According to an SMH article, Android now has 80% of the Smart Phone market, so it is unlikely (but certainly possible) that a vehicle manufacturer would not be catering to that market even a year or so ago.
After my recent experience changing to Telstra, I would suggest you visit an independent vendor who will probably have a staff member with an S6 who will be happy to check it in your ute. You won't get the same cheap deal from the independent, but you might get service.

Hi Dougwe.
We have Samsung 5 mobile phone running it though our 2013 Navara radio, it working a treat, I no it's not a 6 parring with a Collie, just saying the pair work well.
Blue tooth how did we do with out it, am now trying to figure out how to run my music that is on the phone to the car cordless, 15 year old grandson said yes 68 year old brain says how.
Have good day. Ralph.

I have a Galaxy s GT 19000 about six year old just dug it out the other day to see if it would pair with the radio in the new Hyundai answer yes phone book and all all through the radio, so Dougwe I would say the new Galaxy6 would supposingly do the same as my old one, best of luck old sock. All I have to do is work out how to pair it with the 4WD.

G'day Doug
Any Colorado dealer should be able to confirm its ability to connect, I currently use a Samsung s4 and I have connected to a number in car systems so I would be confident it would connect.

They didn't know David. They didn't even know the Colorado didn't have a Hiflo Diesel inlet.
I am asking around, so hopefully someone will come along and we can try their phone. I am going to a smaller phone dealer tomorrow to see if any staff might have the S6 we can try.
Not going to stress over it and I tell you that for free.

Thanks everyone for your input.
I had a chat to JB who like Hfi and a young lady had the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which is actually what I was looking at. Came out to car, all done in about 2 mins. Then I asked her to delete her phone etc. Silly me
I made an excuse to leave but gee do I feel bad now.
I will go back to Telstra maybe tomorrow.
Thanks again.
Edit......oops, turns out it was the S6 not Edge. 6 has blue tick, Edge doesn't. Still can't see why the S6 wouldn't connect now. Re-thinking things for a couple of days. Oh! I actually went back and thanked her but explained about Telstra offer and no probs.

Done and dusted.
JB got the job as she rang me and gave me the same deal Telstra offered. I now have a better plan and cheaper than the one I had plus the Galaxy s6 and all works great in the tug.

Yes Jim, it's good to have a win occasionally.
I am still sorting a couple of things different and trouble getting into one app with my password but will wait till I get out of this humid weather that has arrived in Townsville. I leave tomorrow so will be a little cooler in a couple of days. Better thinking weather.

The only advice I can give on Colorados is NEVER, EVER leave the keys in the ignition and close the door, especially if the windows are up. The doors lock after a couple of minutes. Holden tell me this can't happen. I tell them it bloody does! Apart from that, it's a good truck.
Cheers, Tony

Mmmmm, I always leave the window down if I leave keys in as I have a fear of that happening Tony.
You are correct also in saying it is a great tug.
