Do you have a link to the original webpage CC? from the above all it says is what is needed. Going by the rate of change in technology these days it is bound to happen anyway.
Why are we putting silly cables in the ground? Well because they suffer a lot less from interference than wireless, take less power to transmit data further and can be faster than wireless anyway. Fibre Optic cable has no problems with electrical interference at all, so EMI from poorly designed electronics and electrics or from faulty electrical equipment has no effect on it. Not so for wireless however.

Maybe the Government can get cable fitted to all free camps and CVP everywhere. Gee, cable internet at Greens Lake, Central VIC, the mind boggles mate.
