I have a Nissan R51 2.5L diesel and am about to tow my newly purchased 18ft Jayco Discovery. I have towed it a short distance, empty, and the rear end of the wagon seems to sag a little. Some say to get airbag shocks on the rear end, some say just to go with Stabiliser bars and some had advice to go with both. Never towed a van before however I have towed plenty of big boats in my time. Any help with this would be great. TIA. :)

My suggestion is go with the Weight Distribution Bars.

Welcome to the gang bowie, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I fitted an extra leaf each side to the rear springs and lifed up the back of my 2014 Colorado twin cab ute 2". Nice to drive with, loaded or unloaded.
It was recommended not to fit airbags as they can break the Collie and similar utes back.
Maybe another option for you. Talk to Pedders.

WHD is my suggestion, as the jayco would not be that heavy

G'day BoWie welcome to the forum, we have towed Jayco's 16 foot to21 foot and have found weight distribution hitch meets all needs and is totally adjustable to suit any van, hope you enjoy your time on the forum and in the big playground

Hi Bowie, have 2005 Nissan Parthfinder 2.5 disel, towing a Roadstar Limited Edition, have pulled the van around OZ, van weight approx 2. 6 ton, have fitted air bags and use WHD, sits very level and never had a problem. Happy travels.
