Arrived here today & went straight to the Superpit, was here in 93 & it is still as awesome as ever, doesn't look any deeper but I guess it is. It just looks so deep & huge. Left the coast because of the miserable wet weather & it followed me inland for about 150 K's. Woke up one morning near Mt. Magnet & it was all gone, been good ever since, a little cold but that's to be expected, probably beautiful on the coast now.
good to see that you are still out and about, are you thinking of coming back east during the summer? If so we might catch up again at Greens.
Safe travels;
John

Hi John, yes that's quite possible, I could be at Geelong at Christmas which is not far from Greens but that's a while yet & when you have no set plans anything could happen, it's in the memory bank so just have to keep it there.
Cheers
Mike

The Motor Museum in the main street of York is worth a look, the owners a bit Grumpy though. The town is the oldest in inland WA fantastic buildings.

Mike - the brothel is the oldest still working brothel in Australia, I think. They give you a great talk on how it works now, and in the old days. This is the "red" house, couple of doors down is the "pink" house. You also get a tour of the rooms, very interesting!

Have lunch at Jules Cafe in town, very nice and homely. Also take a look at the town hall, impressive, and the sock shop, has all sorts of stuff.

Been in Kalgoorlie since Wednesday 26/8 Been busy Super Pit, Brothel, Mine Museum, Coolgardie etc. Cheapest meals in town are at the Criterian Hotel $18 for a T-bone, today Roast Pork with crackling etc $15. Have to get new tyres tomorrow before moving on on Wednesday. Heading North to Leonora and Mt Magnet then down to Perth.
