"Yep" That's right, here is the forecast for Saturday in the Lower South West...........
Saturday 8 August
Showers over western parts of the State extending across areas south of a line from Carnarvon to Eucla during the day. Thunderstorms and gusty winds possible over the southern half of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields. A very cold change extending from the west during the day with small hail possible and the chance of snow over ranges in the south during the evening.

Actually, snow has fallen on the Stirling Ranges several times in the past.

It snowed on the Stirlings on the 26th of October 2007 whilst we were at Ravensthorpe.

Never mind the Stirlings, I'm sitting in Perth's northern suburbs, wearing trackie dacks, furry-lined boots, a T shirt, flannel shirt and a big hairy jacket. The gas fire is on and I'm FREEZING!
Dunno about global warming.
Cheers, Tony

"Yep" we're down in the South/East Suburbs and it's no better here, got the tipple bar heater cranked right up but, it's not doing much good at all, might have to go out to the caravan and turn on the rev cycle air con, " What's that I hear " Oh it's only hail belting down out side !!
"Rock on Spring", the sooner the better.

Bluff Knoll in the Stirlings gets it most winters.......I'm in the same area as Tony D and it is bloody cold and icy winds......Sleeping with socks, beanie, track suit pants, T shirt and jumper.......Yeh, I know, I'm a wimp......oh, did I mention the two doonas as well ?
PS: Had the pleasure of watching Yeoeleven climb Bluff Knoll a few years ago......my excuse was keeping an eye on the camper vans in the car park.......did it a few times prior to that......did I mention I had a nap in my campervan while Yeo was up there ?

Hopefully, it's going to get a bit better. There was a report tonight of a 24-degree day later this week. Mind you, I'd had a few drinks at the time and I might have misread it!
The camper trailer is looking postively miserable in the driveway. He wants to go for a run . . . and so do I. Maybe the south coast in a couple of weeks. Just need to look for my old bushwalking sleeping bag, which is filled with lovely duck down. And a bottle of scotch, just in case.
