Agree Sheba.
The Bruce is not that bad really, I have travelled it a few times now and have found it to be good, yes it could be a little better in a few places but overall not too bad. Travelled much worse in my old base camp area, Gippsland VIC.

Spot on Sheba,
Certainly not the Bruce Highway and yes Dougwe the B.H. is not too bad at present.
My wife and I have been up an down The B.H. probably 50 times over the years and your comfort and safety on any road is relative to your speed, driving skill and rig.
Have fun Haji-Baba

How many squillion $'s has been spent, & is being spent between the Qld border & Newcastle. The Kempsey bypass is unreal, there's about 3klm of highway elevated on pylons above the flood plain, basically a long bridge.
Cheers pete
I to realised it was a joke but dare I say it
Why wasn't it in the jokes forum ???

I'm with you NeilandRaine, and Rocky Lizard - the Bruce has moments of good road, and many more moments of bad road, bad drivers - trucks and caravans and cars!!!

Bruce hiway ---- Used to be called the crystal hiway in the old days single lane tar lined by broken windscreens
Trick was to get off the road as soon as you saw ant traffic coming -- That way the ones on the tar got there windows smashed
And twas comparatively safe if you was well over on the shoulder ----------- Ahhhh the good ol days
