After major changes MY BEACH SHAK is back on the road.
Pop Top 50% lighter and folds up/down easy.
Front Extension slides out and locates better but will be further improved next summer by making it 800mm
Power is now two circuits.
Circuit 1 - 2 x 100ah Deep cycle in parallel charged by DC-DC charger when driving. 160W solar or Rutland Wind Generator (or both) when camping.
Circuit 2 - 1 x Ordinary car battery (To be replaced by a 100ah Deep Cycle when I can)Charged by 160W solar and/or Wind Gen as required. This circuit connects to 600W invertor
When considering the Wind Generator I researched several Chinese models available - Cheap but most needed winds of
45 klms/Hr for any decent output and are 1.2M Dia.
Spent a few days on Noosa North Shore last week and everything is working well so will be travelling further soon.

Hi Guys
It is rated at 35db in high winds around 40kph.
During trials on Noosa North Shore the wind only got to approx 15 kph and no noise at all.
Several people came over to ask exactly the same question and all could not hear any noise at all.
AND you don't have to put duel in it... Throw your petrol or diesel generator out and go clean,
Regards
Sam
Wich model is it and where did you buy it from ??
Cheers John
Hi John
It is a Rutland 914i Model and I bought it from a Gold Coast company.
The website is www.stella systems.com.au/wind-generators which will give you all the info on the 2 models available.
The smaller one has a very small output - depends on what you want.
All the info is there - I made my own mounting system that does the job at a cost of approx $40
The outlay cost is not cheap but add up what you have to pay for fuel these days and for me it is a very good solution.
Regards
Sam
