Just wondering how many of you have a mind that feels it can do more than your body. And how much convincing does your mind need from your body.

I have that problem a lot lately Ian. They tell me it goes with getting older. My mind is regularly back in the 70's (favourite decade) but the body is in 2015, bugga.
Not only that bus as well even, bloody Uncle Al seems to be getting up before me a lot more these days too and I tell you that for free.

I certainly do Ian, a 66 year old mind and an 86 year old body gets me very frustrated at times.
These are pics of me almost 8 years ago. I was fortunate that I was 58, and not 38 or 28!!!! I had been fortunate to have had a fantastic 58 years.. and now able to travel as we had planned over the years of raising and educating our 4 kids.
55% burns and two crushed vertebrae L4 & L5. Induced coma for 7 weeks and I was 9 months in hospital out of the first 18 months...
Still have a 30mm piece of screw in my back from the metal ladder they made to keep my back in the correct position. One screw broke and let the super bugs back into my system, so they took the metal out but decided to leave the broken screw as it was too close to spinal column.

Not nice Paul, a very close call indeed. In what way were you involved with the Gyro-copters?

Three months ago we realized that we'd been ''celebrating retiring'' over the past few years. We had both put on a few too many kilos, though we wouldn't be classed as being big by any means.
Our clothes were getting a bit too tight so we decided to do something about it just over two months ago. We've always walked every morning but decided to walk for an hour at a brisk pace from now on plus eat lots of fruit & drink alcohol only twice per week on Weds & Sat.
WE HAVE LOST HEAPS OF WEIGHT, FEEL WAY FITTER & MENTALLY ALERT.
Thank goodness we decided to ''bite the bullet'', we are now approaching the weight we were before retirement.

Hi Keith & Mrs K,
GOOD. Now that you both started, don't stop walking. Pervention is better then the curer. Heart attacks and strokes are bad news.
One close shave is one to many for us.

Tonight is Wednesday!
Gourmet Pizza's done to perfection in our Coleman Camp Oven night tonight accompanied by a gorgeous Coonawarra Red. We've never been big carnivores. We're flexible as far as our 2 days enjoying wine goes, maybe next time? Don't think you'd like where we are now though, in the middle of the Big Desert Wilderness VIC. LOL
