We have a Palsonic TFTV4980MW. We have used it successfully once. On the second go we kept getting a "no signal" message when trying to tune it and ended up with a message that says "Data Base Empty".
We cannot get any channels at all.
Any suggestions please?

Hi Carl53
First of all check all leads make shore they are connected properly, then go to ( MENU. ) retune all channels ( auto tune). Needs to be done every time you go to a new location.

Are you using the TV in conjunction with a satellite receiver? If so, is the message coming from the satellite receiver and not the TV itself?

Thank you all.
I checked the aerial connections and all seemed OK. Was able to go into the menu and click on "reset". I was then able to re tune and it's all go now.
I am still confused though as I am sure I tried reset the last time but kept getting the "database empty" signal.
Cheers
Carl

I had the same problem, my solution after much checking and trying different cables, i decided to connect a new cable from the antenna directly to tv bingo it located all the channels in the area.

I couldn't tune in the satelite dish one day and after 2 hours of stuffing around I found the cable ripped out of the external connector, bugger.

Haha, that's not as bad as me trying to pump fuel through my filters, after a filter change, using the little prime knob on top of the filter, with the pre-filter inlet hose disconnected.

Hi Carl, The bloke next to me had exactly the same problem which drove him nuts until he found it was when he had LED lights on, particularly the 'Touch "lights. When he didn't turn them on, the problem disappeared. Hope this helps
