Hi everyone I'm getting ready for our first trip in the caravan but I was wondering do you buy special sheet that fit the queen size mattresses in the caravan due to the round ends on them ? If anyone has advice on the subject would really appreciate it thanks Robin

We have a standard double bed and just use standard fitted sheets on it. You will have trouble with your queen bed, caravans ones are the width of a standard queen but the length of standard double. If you use queen fitted sheets on the van one you will have to take a tuck in the sheet length to get it to fit neatly.
Some members will probably come on and advice where you can web or mail order sheets to fit.

Welcome to the gang Robin, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I just have CV single beds in my den and suit me fine. I use a single flat sheet and have a foam "egg carton" overlay under that. I have found it stops the sheet from getting all messed up. Nice and comfy as well.
Would work with a Queen size as well. I had one at base camp until I sold and went full time on the road.

HI Robin,
To start with it depends if you are going to use the extra block of the mattress at the top end or not. We don't because it makes it difficult and virtually no room to get around the end of the bed. So, what I did, got the fitted queen sheet and marked an 18cm wide strip up one end, preferably so it goes up under the pillow, and stitched it to form a tuck (?) and you will find this will fit the shortened mattress OK, but you still need the queen width. By making it a tuck, you can down the track if need by, undo the stitching and it then becomes a normal queen size fitted sheet. Hope this makes sense!

Giday Robin,
I have sheet straps on my bed (Elastic type strips with clamps on the ends). They hold the sheets in place and keep the corners nice and neat.
I purchased them from Spotlight for $3.00 a set.

Hi Robin, welcome to the gang
We use standard QS fitted sheets. Works a charm at the rounded part at the end of the mattress we just tuck it all under the bed.
