I saw that Film clip, and all I saw was people waving, until the clip was stopped. Margaret seemed to me to be waving her left hand.
Anyone waving can be made too look like they're giving the Nazi Salute if the Pic. is stopped at the right moment.
And even if it was the Nazi salute, they may have been just throwing off at Hitler. They do have a pretty good sense of humour remember, and do you really believe the Queen at the time, would have sympathised with the Nazis ?
Cheers,
Sheba.

It is well known that Edward VIII was a Nazi sympathiser. While the others may have seen the salute as a harmless prank, perhaps even a mocking gesture, as I would normally have done, Edward VIII would have had other thoughts.

I know he was Dorian, but I don't think the rest of the family shared his views. There has never been any suspicion, let alone proof, of this to date.

You need to remember that the Royal Family had links to the Germans and had German surnames until they changed them to Windsors and Mountbatten in WW1. See;
Hadn't forgotten those facts either Vic. But don't forget the Heritage on the Female side, and the Queen was a strong lady.
Cheers,

Wasn't directed at you Sheba, just a general comment, sorry if it came across like that.
Just a note on other relatives. It was said that the British Royal Family who was related to them would not give the Russian Tsar asylum when asked to by the initial captors and all of them were later executed by the Russian Red Army including the children.
Even the Queen got her hands dirty during the war....................
Now now Dearie, make sure you have the right spanner. !!

Gday...
Definitely proven (and extremely widely and well known) and not amazing OR unusual .......

I think Queen Elizabeth has done a lot of extraordinary ordinary things in her life.
