Didi, Never mind most people will understand what you meant by: "I am not working just travelling solo " I hope someone with some experience can give you a reasonable answer.

Hi Di,
I live off a Allocated Pension from my Super that is kept with my Super Found Company and they manage it on my behalf. No stress for me.
My Accountant that looked after all my Tax for many years told me last year I do not need to do a Tax Return anymore as I am not earning anything. Great feeling I might say too. With that said, I would not be able to claim anything but then again I don't have anything to claim anyway.
If I was to actually earn anything and it took me above the minimum allowed I would then have to do a Tax Return.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Keep Safe out there.

I have long been in a similar situation & have not done a tax return since one year after I retired. I always did my own tax returns.
The only difference for me is that I have a modest portfolio of shares outside my 'Allocated Pension' fund. I have to do a phone lodgement for a 'refund of franking credits' every year.

Di, If you have a partial pension as well as your super and your van is your principal residence you may be entitled to some rent relief. At any rate, make an appointment with one of the Centrelink advisors to see what you really are entitled to. The service is free and these days Centrelink is not out to screw you if you reveal everything and don't appear to rort the system. On the contrary, they are most helpful when you are not trying to hide the full facts.
Hi, I found this link the other day and sent it tl hubby for future consideration. Maybe something in here might help with your question. Sorry I don't know how to make it "click able" so just copy and paste as I did.

If you are using the quick reply panel to post your reply, click on the "Advanced Editor" tab at the bottom. This will bring up a ribbon at the top of the tying area. The ribbon has features on it similar to what you use in word processors.
Type a name for your link and highlight it (you must use the mouse to do the highlighting and not keyboard shortcuts.) Then click the underline symbol to underline your heading. You will then have the link symbol in the middle of the middle line brighten up, click on it. This will bring up a box to paste or type the link URL into. Insert your URL there. After you have done drop down the drop-down menu in the target box and select "Open link in new winoe, (this will make your link page open up in a new tab.)
