Hi all. Well we went to our son (a 240v electrician) who had a good idea why our 12v fridge wouldn't keep working. But luckily he had to go to local shop and walked past a ute advertising that the owner is a "Nomad auto leckie" specialising in caravans and 4wds. Someone was looking after us. He was from SA and staying at his daughter's around the corner from our son. He came around the next day and sorted our van's electrics. I had phoned the previous owner who admitted it hadn't been working properly and took it to an auto electrician but still wasn't working correctly. Well he had totally wired it wrong, one of the fuses at the back of the fridge had melted, the wiring wasn't big enough and the solar was not going to the battery. Anyway our nomad leckie was a gem. We have trialled our girl and are ready to head off for 6 weeks at end of August.
Cheers to all who previously gave advice

Not sure but will email him and let him know about it. He has been on the road for 5 yrs and obviously has picked up not only a lot of work but knowledge.
